Savananh cats vs Serval cats
I would suggest a Savannah cat for any pet owner since they are breed specifically with domestic blood into them as much as possible to provide family friendly felines. The serval cat compared to a serval cat debate depends on what you want in a cat. I love serval cats but savannah cat are 100% easier to own.
Savannah cats: They have been bred from house cats for temperament. Behavior wise they are still energetic but not to the point that serval cat can be. Wild looks with domestic cat attitudes. Usually they are good with children, visitors and etc.
Serval cats: Serval cats aren't like a cuddly kitty you can have on your lap. A serval is going to be jittery, shy and reclusive with visitors. Often you read about serval kitten post on forums, what you don't read about is what the serval cats are like once they hit maturity at 3 to 4 years old. You will find a fixed serval cat will still spray at some point either at 1 or 4 years of age. With a serval cat you should expect the following: Spraying or inappropriate urination around the house. Intolerance for other pets even if they are raised with them from birth, and defiantly if they don't know the animal. They will bond to one person, making it hard for any vet visits or being with family.
